Wellbeing Committee

At Corlea National School, the wellbeing of our pupils and staff is at the heart of everything we do. Our Wellbeing Committee is a dedicated group made up of our principal, staff and pupils, who work together to promote a positive, inclusive, and caring school environment.

Our Aim

The Wellbeing Committee's aim is to:

Foster a sense of belonging, safety, and happiness in school life.

Support mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing for all members of the school community.

Encourage kindness, respect, and empathy through daily actions and school initiatives.

What We Do

Throughout the school year, the committee:

Organises wellbeing-themed weeks and events (such as Friendship Week, Wellbeing Week, Wellness Wednesday Motivational Monday).

Promotes mindfulness, movement, and gratitude in classrooms.

Encourages healthy habits through fun activities and school-wide challenges.

Shares tips, tools, and resources to support positive mental health.

A Whole-School Effort

Wellbeing is a shared responsibility at Corlea N.S. Our committee works in partnership with pupils, parents, and staff to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

We have recently received our Amber Flag from Pieta House for all the hard work we do on Wellbeing and promoting positive mental health in our school and beyond.
