At Corlea National School, our Green-Schools Committee is at the heart of our environmental initiatives. This dedicated group of students, teachers, and staff work collaboratively to promote sustainability and environmental awareness throughout our school community.   As part of the Green-Schools programme, we engage in projects that focus on themes such as Litter & Waste, Energy, Water, Travel, and Biodiversity. Through these initiatives, we aim to reduce our ecological footprint and instill a sense of responsibility in our students.   Our committee meets regularly to plan and implement actions, monitor progress, and celebrate our achievements. We also involve our wider community by organizing events, workshops, and awareness campaigns.   We are proud to have been awarded our second green flag for water and become regional and all-Ireland Water School of the year in 2024 which fully recognizes our commitment to to environmental awareness and stewardship.
