"Together we shape futures"
Welcome to the official website of Corlea National School. As the newly appointed Principal, I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead this close-knit, small and vibrant school community nestled in the heart of the countryside between Kingscourt and Shercock in County Cavan.
At Corlea National School, we are deeply committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our dedicated teachers and staff members work collaboratively to create a safe and stimulating space where students can thrive physically academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally.
Our school is rich in history, having recently celebrated its 130th anniversary. This milestone reflects the enduring spirit and dedication of our community. We are also proud to have achieved our second Green Flag and to have been recognised as both regional and national winners as Water School of the Year 2024 .
Through our website, we aim to provide you with a glimpse into the daily life of our school, showcasing the achievements and activities that make our school special. We invite you to explore the site, learn more about our programs, and stay updated with the latest news and events.
Thank you for visiting. If you are a potential parent and you have any questions or would like to learn more about our school, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you into our school family.
Warm regards,
Laura Marron
